On Macintosh systems, how do I install one of the Dfx v1 plug-in versions when the host application is located on an external hard drive?

UPDATE* Effective October 30, 2011, Tiffen will no longer offer activation support on Dfx v1.

In most cases, you should be able to install Dfx to your Desktop and then move the Dfx components to your host application's plug-ins folder on the external hard drive. In this does not work, do the following:

  1. Temporarily move the host application to your main system drive and run the Dfx installer.
  2. When installation is complete, move the host application back to the external hard drive.
